The hard coating on the blade is made of chrome-plated carbon steel, which has a very low coefficient of sliding friction, resulting in slower wear of the blade. The GT 779D blade cuts to a length of 9mm and is compatible with Aesculap Favorita II (GT104) and Favorita CL (GT206) clippers.
