PetSafe Outlast Pumpless Pet Fountain is a fountain for cats and dogs that helps you ensure proper hydration for your pet. It provides access to fresh, filtered water 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The freely flowing stream of fresh water encourages cats and dogs to drink more, which helps prevent urinary tract infections and kidney diseases. Continuous circulation adds more oxygen to the water and inhibits bacterial growth. The Outlast Pet Fountain holds 1.7L of water and utilizes innovative, patented HydroSpin™ technology - a unique conical mechanism that ensures a constant flow of water and passes it through a filtration system, without the need for a pump installation. This solution extends the lifespan of the fountain and significantly simplifies cleaning, as the number of electrical components has been minimized. The quiet motor is built with high-quality stainless steel ball bearings and is located in a dry chamber inside the fountain, meaning it never requires cleaning. To extend the motor's lifespan, the fountain automatically shuts off when the water level is too low.
The fountain produces a stream of water that spreads across the entire surface of the upper tray, allowing pets to drink directly from the spout or as if from a traditional bowl. Under the spout, there is a sloped ramp - a special elevation that allows water to flow gently into the tray. This design prevents the water stream from crashing into the surface, thereby preventing splashing around the fountain. The transparent reservoir allows you to conveniently monitor the water level in the fountain to refill it at the right time. Additionally, the LED backlight makes it easier to check the water level from a distance and at night - when the water level is sufficient, the backlight is blue; when the water level is low, the LED lights up red; if the water runs out completely, the light will still shine red, and the fountain's motor will stop.
The PetSafe Outlast fountain is equipped with an ion-exchange carbon filter that traps impurities, removes unpleasant tastes and odors from the water, and softens it. This makes the water healthier and prevents limescale buildup. Compared to a traditional bowl, where most impurities and pet saliva accumulate at the bottom, the fountain does not require frequent cleaning. However, when it's time to clean, the fountain can be easily and quickly disassembled, and all components except for the body with the motor can be washed in the dishwasher. The stable design of the Outlast fountain prevents tipping and movement of the bowl during eager drinking. The fountain is powered by electricity from a laptop or power bank via a USB connection, and with an adapter and interchangeable plugs, you can connect it to the nearest household electrical outlet.
