PetSafe SmartDoor Connected Pet Door - pet door for dogs and cats with chip, Wi-Fi, mobile app

Description

PetSafe SmartDoor Connected Pet Door is an intelligent pet door for dogs and cats with a chip, providing your pet with freedom and independence while giving you control over their whereabouts even when you're away from home. The door is equipped with a built-in Wi-Fi module, allowing you to change all settings at any time and from anywhere with internet access. You will also benefit from these doors while at home, as family members do not need to interrupt their activities to let the pet out and then monitor their return to let them back in. The SmartDoor Connected Pet Door features a range of functions that allow you to customize its operation to your individual needs: My PetSafe mobile app - remotely operate the door using your smartphone. The app is essential for scanning your pet's microchip and registering it in the door's memory so they can use the passage. My PetSafe allows you to take advantage of all the features of the SmartDoor Connected model. Access control - if you have multiple pets, you can determine which one can use the door at any given time and to what extent (entry and exit, entry only, or exit only), and for which of them the door should be completely closed. Schedule - plan permissions for each pet for the entire week. With this feature, you can set which days and at what times your pet can go outside and when they should stay indoors. For example, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the door opens when it detects the microchips of the dog and cat. Outside of these hours, the door remains closed for the dog, but the cat can still go out. On Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, the door is open for both pets, but outside of these hours, the cat cannot go out. Notifications - receive PUSH notifications on your phone every time your pet enters or exits the house, when settings change, for low battery, or if the system encounters an error. You will receive an email notification if the door loses connection to the Wi-Fi network. Multi-user supervision - manage the door together with other household members. Your roommates can install the My PetSafe app and change settings just like you. Power failure succession - determine whether the door should be locked for all pets or opened (also for pets without a chip) after battery depletion or a power outage. Manual mode - there is an option to operate basic functions of the door using buttons located in the frame, under the battery cover. Manual mode includes the following settings: turn Smart mode on/off, turn the lock for pets without a chip on/off, reset the internet connection, restore factory settings. How do the chip-enabled doors work? When a pet approaches the entrance, the built-in chip reader scans the number from the microchip implanted under the skin by a veterinarian or on the pet's neck (in the form of a dedicated tag), and if it successfully identifies the number, it releases the access lock. Other animals outside the house cannot move the flap or pass through the opening. You can register up to 32 pets in the system. The M-sized door works with the most common types of chips implanted by veterinarians, such as the 15-digit FDX-B microchip, the 10-digit FDX-A microchip, and the 9- and 15-digit AVID H and AVID Encrypted microchips. Pets without a microchip need to wear a special key - the PetSafe SmartDoor Connected Key tag (1 piece included with the door). The L-sized SmartDoor Connected does not support implanted microchips, so each pet must have a special key. The door can be powered in two ways - by connecting to a power outlet (cable with plug sold separately) or by placing four batteries in it. You can also provide two alternative power sources simultaneously - power the SmartDoor with an adapter while keeping batteries in the door to ensure it works in case of a power outage. Sealing strips around the flap provide protection against cold/hot air from outside, and magnetic contact points ensure that the flap closes quickly after the pet passes through the opening. The tinted flap ensures discretion - despite its large dimensions (especially size L), both pets and people outside will not be able to see inside your home. The door can be installed in wooden, metal, PVC, and UPVC doors, walls, as well as in glass doors and (only in the case of size M) in glass windows with single and double glazing. The integrated tunnel of 6.6 cm facilitates installation in thick walls and doors. You can gain an additional 5 cm by purchasing an additional PetSafe tunnel.
