ToppaPomppa for Harness is a very warm winter jacket for dogs, suitable for extreme weather conditions. It perfectly protects against wind, rain, and snow while providing thermal comfort to the most important parts of your pet's body. Ideal for both daily walks and more active outings. Thanks to its unique design, it allows full freedom of movement for your dog, which is why it is highly valued and often used for various sports activities and training. The jacket is made from three layers of material. The outer layer is waterproof polyester coated with a hydrophobic layer. In an effort to care for the environment, it is made from recycled fibers. The middle layer is filled with material that has good thermal insulation properties. The third layer is a lining made from warm and soft synthetic fur. The lining is antistatic and prevents long fur from tangling. The high, foldable collar protects the neck. The minimal number of seams reduces the risk of chafing and ensures greater waterproofing. An opening at the collar allows for the attachment of a leash. Another opening located on the back allows for the leash to be attached to the harness that the dog can wear under the jacket. It has been designed to minimize the risk of water seeping under the jacket. An additional advantage of the jacket is its extension by 2 cm compared to similar sizes of other Pomppa jackets, to cover the dog even more and provide warmth. Although the jacket has only one fastening at the waist and no straps or elastic bands for the hind legs, it fits the body perfectly and stays in place during any activity. It is easy to put on and take off. It is very lightweight and does not take up much space when folded, making it easy to take on any adventures without adding weight to your luggage. Tip: The ToppaPomppa jacket is great as a winter jacket for really harsh winters. As we know, even among dogs, there are exceptional cold-sensitive ones, such as those with very short fur, without an undercoat, or senior dogs with health issues. For them, we recommend adding the JumppaPomppa fleece underneath for additional insulation against the cold.
How to care for Pomppa dog clothing:
- Avoid unnecessary washing. Besides water consumption, frequent washing leads to fabric wear and degradation of its coating. If there are no visible stains or dirt, try airing the product in a well-ventilated area or placing it in the freezer to eliminate any odors.
- If necessary, wash the clothing in a washing machine on a delicate cycle at 30°C.
- Do not use aggressive detergents, stain removers, bleach, or fabric softeners.
- After washing, hang the clothing to dry; do not tumble dry, iron, or dry clean.
- The outer layer of the jacket is coated with a hydrophobic layer, which degrades after multiple washes. You can restore it using waterproofing treatments commonly available in outdoor clothing stores.
Choosing the right size:
A well-chosen size ensures the best possible thermal protection and full freedom of movement for your dog. The right size protects the most important muscle groups and guarantees that the clothing will stay in place even during sprints or wild jumps. Pomppa jackets and sweatshirts are designed to fit various dog shapes: slender, with a wide chest, or with pronounced and developed musculature. When choosing a size, it is important that the jacket does not restrict the dog's mobility or cause discomfort in any way. The determining factor in selecting the right size for the ToppaPomppa jacket is the length of the dog's back. We recommend avoiding choosing a smaller size than indicated by the length of the dog's back. Depending on the dog's proportions and coat type, the appropriate size may be larger than the size according to back length. Another factor to consider is that due to the thickness of the materials, for the coat to fit comfortably on the dog, its waist circumference should be slightly larger than the dog's waist circumference. Depending on the dog's proportions, the strap does not necessarily sit at the narrowest part of the dog's waist.
